Opens up with a perfumed nose of bright garden fruit and flowers. Juicy and delicious on the palate, charming wine. A hint of green emerges with air, vegetables. Great purity and focus. Not sure how the green side will develop with time.

The words that keep coming to mind are bright and light. Some earth and game. But it's all very pretty and precise with a medium finish. Just enough roundness with the acid to provide tension, but this is eminently drinkable now.

2012 Simon Bize Wines (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Ruby. Ripe red fruit nose. Approachable, medium weight, lovely red fruit and mouth feel. Gentle tannins. Much less foreboding than Bize of yesteryear.
