For a wine I was prepared to pour down the drain this turned out to be a bit of a surprise. Still fairly intense red and just a little brick on the rim. Barnyard, animal, smoked sausage, anise nose with wild sweet cherry and plum on the palate. Flavours are still quite intense and wine is in great balance. Little short on the mid -palate but delivers long finish. There are many 1er Cru wines that would be dead at twenty years and this one is still rocking! My only regret is that I drank it on m own.
