Still good vibrant color after all these years. A bit tart, but after 2 hours in the decanter, it began to show some good complexity, even if much of the fruit had faded. Definitely needs time in the air to mellow out its acidity. Will not improve, so drink if you happen to have of this wine.

A little past its prime but still very elegant. Oxygenation did not substantially change texture and flavors: green bell peppers and black currants were there from the beginning to the end. Tannins largely gone and shortness on the palate confirmed maturity. In sum, really good but the overall flatness of tones made it fall short of greatness

OTBN 2018. At first a bit stewy, but with a little air this starts to retreat a bit and let some other flavors move forward. A pretty laser like nose of stewed red fruits, forest floor, tobacco, red currants. Pretty pleasant on the palate, with some nice sweet fruits (strawberries among others), violets. Pretty nice medium finish. This is not overly complex, but serviceable – which is something for almost 30 years of age. Not nearly as good as the 1990 though.
A few hours after opening this is still drinking well. Feels very vulnerable at first, but there is still a strong core of red fruits (the stewiness seems to have gone away), some forest floor, mushrooms and violets. A slight bitterness on the finish. But this is holding up surprisingly well.

Past its prime but still very drinkable. Full of fruit, but little to no tannins left. Smooth finish. Overall, very satisfied.
