Ordered a mag at NYC Del Frisco's last night with some old friends. They decanted it and we started into it after about 20 minutes. The wine is evolving to show some age and gentle red/dark berry with subtle cedar and very light smoke. The finish is not super long but after the silky palate ride, is still rewarding. I disagree with the drinking window estimate ending at 2010! This has at least 3-5 more years in mag size.

Better than the Mayacamas at this point. Though there was a lot of alcohol on the nose it didn't translate onto the palate. After a few hours of being opened, a bit of vanilla and sweet berries appeared. Texture of the wine was consistent throughout, very little tannins. Cedar box, cassis liqour, plum and dried currant come to play with a spicy finish.

Drank from magnum among friends. Classic varietal character of black currant, a little plum, some minty tobacco spices. It really pleased and impressed the table (and it was a great value). This is easily the best wine I've had from Lake County.
