From 375mL. Deep golden color; high intensity aromatics, pure orange (like the nose on a muscat, pure fruit), with some baking spices, nutmeg, orange zest, candied orange peel, some honey; palate is full bodied, sweet but balanced by medium acidity, medium-plus alcohol is all in place, citrus fruit, not quite as much complexity as on the nose but well balanced; medium length finish. This is fabulous value, seems in a better spot than last year, and will likely continue to evolve in a good direction. I'm particularly impressed by the depth on the nose, though the palate is more one-note. One of my better bottles of this. 90

Nick's "Good Barolo and Barbaresco" Dinner - Friday 22 March, 67 Pall Mall; 3/24/2024-3/25/2024 (67 Pall Mall): Lovely nose. Extremely fine marmalade, lychee, passion fruit, lemon curd. It was late in the dinner at this point but I recall it was quite a thick sweetness on the palate, actually slightly too much for me. But I loved the aromatics.

Nick A's "Good Barolo and Barbaresco" at 67 PM (67 Pall Mall, London): Had a half of this in Jan and this is so youthful by comparison. Intense lemon curd, passionfruit coulis and lime juice nose. With air some pineapple, and almond hints emerge. Very enjoyable stuff.

Nick’s Barolo and Barbaresco (67 Pall Mall, London): Last wine of the night and not much on this one, but I recall a lovely, florally, saffrony Barsac, quite elegant and fresh.
