  Beautiful wine perfectly cellared for way too long by Gaschief- goes great with tamales in Napa. Blew off some crazy stuff after decanting for an hour was still punching and kicking. Drink up!

  Velvet and long on the finish, lots of compote fruit flavors. Recanted for 1 hr and was perfect.

  What a great time to enjoy this wine; one of the very best I have tried.
  The wine looks amber colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like red currant, prune, forest floor, oak, tobacco leaf and chocolate. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

  This wine has aged well. At the 20 year mark its best days are behind it, but it is still a wonderful food wine. On both the nose and tongue it has subtle fresh rain, black pepper, and big dark cherries. Paired well with dark chocolate. It does not open up much over time, there is no need to decant it, just give it 15 minutes in the glass. If you have a bottle, drink it now.
