  Perhaps I came to this without great expectations, but there is elegance in a fine-boned way. Just the nice side of being austere. Nose correct but delicate, certainly without excess of ripeness, even faintly cool/red fruited. Colour remains bright and of medium depth. Less of a rush to consume here than I imagined. As ever, a frequent reminder to be patient with 05 Bx even at this level.

  Ready to drink, but it was my last bottle. Clos Rene made an excellent wine in 2005. Very enjoyable!
