I think that either I waited too long to drink this or something was wrong with it. The bottle initially had some "effervescence" in it. Also like it was "bubbly" or something. It settled down after about 30 minutes but it gave everyone who initially tasted it and negative reaction.
At home, something to enjoy while packing for a trip to Turks and Caicos...PnP, splash decanted and drank over 90 minutes.
Consistent with prior notes: "Medium/light ruby color, clear, mild signs of aging at the rim. Earth dominant nose, red fruits, spice. Palate of bright red fruits, dusted strawberry, cherry cola, baking spice. Tannins integrated, medium finish."
What I would add is this bottle seemed a little thinner than prior bottles. May be best to drink this over the coming 2-3 years. Drinking well, unlikely to improve much
First bottle of this in more than 5 years, and I like it! Really great nose, earthy with an early cola note that faded after maybe 45 min, other notes of soft fruit (blueberry?) and a slight menthol or cedar-ish note. On the palate, rich without being cloying, medium length (probably my only quibble is a hole in the finish, doesn't go as long as I had hoped). Soft all around, no real edges - I agree with others' notes that've called it feminine.
At home with pizza, haven't visited this wine in a while...other bottles from the 05 Willamette vintage have aged nicely. Splash decanted, drank over 2 hours. Was fully opened in about 20 minutes.

Right in its zone, elegant and feminine wine. New world fruit, Burgundian style and feel. Should hold at this level for a few years but do not think it will improve much mire. Excellent example of BF wine that's aged nicely
