Nice if unspectacular bottle. Needed some coaxing on the nose to reveal raspberry, charcoal and leather. Stewed black cherries with a dark green resin finish. Quiet, unassuming but perfectly acceptable if you like the type. Drink now. Paired with roasted chicken with shallots and garlic.
Classically aged Bordeaux. It was clear with a medium garnet color. The nose was medium plus with aromas of black cherry, plum, cedar and pencil lead. Wonderfully expressive. The tannins were soft and well integrated. A little thin on the mid-palate with the flavors more muted than the nose. Overall, a fine wine that is ready for immediate consumption.
Fresh nose of raspberries, strawberries, tar and tobacco! Deep red in color! On the palate, beautiful presentation of merlot fruits! To me, this bottle is simply outstanding! Very pure and yet very rich! Still have few more years to go! 12.5% printed in the bottle! Very good balance! Cheers!
Floral nose of ripe fruits with hints of licorice and some smoky, tarry minerality. Rich, coating mouthfeel. Great meaty notes of red berry and a nice savory quality, like the richness of bone marrow. I'd say this wine needs food. - Tasted at Marché Bacchus 8/7/10
