  • Amazingly light for Sauternes (OK, Barsac really: Barsac = Sauternes minus $$). Refreshing peach and floral qualities. Relatively short finish.

  • The color is a beautiful golden amber that hints at the experience to come. The nose is complex and thick, with elements of dried apple, honey roasted nuts, pine sap, and butterscotch. On the palate the wine opens with concentrated dried tropical fruits, honey comb, and candied citrus peel. As the wine evolves these flavors diminish, yet the remnants that remain are integrated with arising components of roasted nuts, pine wood, and maple in a relatively short finish. The wine is mouth filling and rich initially, but lacks the same power and concentration in its evolution. Overall this wine shows initial density and flavor complexity, but unfortunatley can't sustain these qualities through the average midpalate and finish.
