  • Another wine I haven't tasted for around 5 years. Arguably the best example of this style produced in Australia and this bottle didn't let that reputation down. Beautiful berry fruit nuances on the nose, extra time in the bottle has allowed this wine to develop wonderful savoury secondary characteristics. Long, long finish, this is a perfect match for the Aussie summer. The only downside is that the bottle disappeared all to quickly! And that it is missing a crown seal. Truly a beautiful experience.

  • Truffle, earth, plum and garrigue on the nose. Palate is also savoury in nature, but there is still a liquorice element to it. Very nice complexity and was preferred compared to the '11 disgorgement served by its side.

  • A great wine to start off an evening of good food and company. Fantastic Australian sparkling shiraz. For those who don't understand this style (including Mr Parker), you guys are definitely missing out on something special. Small bead, concentrated berry flavours with a savoury finish. No sugar bomb here. This is how it should be made. The bottle disappeared in record time. Just wish Rockford would use a Crown Seal!
