Generously shared by Sri. Beautiful dessert wine. Like a Sauternes but with more acidity. Honey, apricot, honeysuckle and hay with really nice structure. One of the better dessert wines I have ever tried.

Tasted before taking to a tasting dinner. Bright golden yellow color, more youthful than expected. Superbly balanced, unctuous, complex and just flowing over your palate. Finish has amazing length and some caramel or burnt sugar notes, the only hint of its 33 years of age. So fresh and honied. Bright acidity. Elegant and balanced. Incredibly long finish. Superb both with the dessert of Mille Foglie and alone! Probably the WOTN for the majority.

A White Wine Dinner in Celebration of Crab (San Francisco): Deep yellow. Moderately sweet, medium weight. Great purity of its pear and quince fruit plus spice. Harmonious glycerine feel. Outstanding dessert wine in spectacular form at this age.

Sunday Lunch with Raveneau Chablis and Chave Hermitage (Piccino Restaurant, San Francisco): Light golden. High toned and honeyed. Gorgeous Chenin Blanc texture and weight. Moderately sweet pear fruit and pineapple with fabulous balancing acidity, spiciness, and excellent length. An over performing dessert wine.
