  • Full throttle meritage with still a long way to go before it hits its plateau. Keeping will be greatly rewarded.

    Cork fully intact and non-compromised. Level: top-neck. Decanted for one hour.

    Dark red with only the slightest hint of bricking at the edge.
    Nose started out muted but opened up as time went by. Has a dark constitution with some red berries mixed with elegant, dark earth, autumn and beautiful pipe tabacco with dried fruits (figs rather than raisins).

    In the mouth we find an astonishing balance with beautiful berries, smoke, everything from the nose and some barrels, chocolate and spice. Superiorly intense and polished with high acidity (perfect with Italian food) and a significant level of tannins lurking behind the rather young fruit.

    This is a model, polished meritage wine with enough personality to want to enjoy further bottles of. Wow!

  • Still vibrant and years ahead. This wine had never left Europe since release so in this case provenance really did show up compared to some of the other notes about this wine.

  • 刚开瓶试了一下,闻香是肉味,草药,紫罗兰花香,橄榄和李子的香气,入口酸度高,酒液很咸,强烈的矿物感,就像咸话梅一般,口中是橄榄的香味和一些草药味,虽然有点紧,还没打开,但是可以确定酒的状态非常棒。醒酒一个半小时到两个小时以后,进入最佳状态,闻香是肉鲜味,淡淡的动物皮毛,青椒气息,李子的果香,草药味,还有明显的百里香混合着香草一类的香料气息,入口酸度高,口感咸鲜,矿物感清晰,单宁细腻,明显的雪松气息,红黑果香和黑醋栗的香气,泥土气息,草药混合着青橄榄的香气,还有橡木桶带来的巧克力味,后段明显的回甘。余味是李子一类的果香和淡淡木质香气。一款严肃的旧世界酒,一鼻子百里香混合着香草味,为它注入一股异域气质,酸咸和回甘的完美平衡令它喝起来充满了能量感。少量桑娇维塞的加入令整个波尔多混酿的气质完全改变了,它不再是一款法国酒的影子,而是一款纯正的意大利酒。

  • 香气比较饱满,有黑樱桃、黑莓蛋糕等黑果味(还有点山楂)和蛋糕味,气味比较甜,中后还有巧克力、甘草和茴香之类的香料味,夹杂着薄荷的清凉,有一定的肉类野味和皮革味。入口酒体中,结构不错,单宁比较多,但细腻,有一些收敛感,口中多黑樱桃、黑莓等黑果,有些浑浊感,有些花香,有一些植物味和咸感,中后段有老皮革、甘草、香料和香草蛋糕等味道。



    半个小时之后口中的酸度和结构感有所提升,酸度明显,单宁质感上多了一些,舌面有一些颗粒感并带来收敛。依然是比较甜的黑果,带有植被味道和点点青椒味,略带野味。92-93/100

  • Vinetasters: 1997 Super Tuscans (Skokie, IL): Served double blind. A touch volatile here; black fruit and some cherry cola on the nose. The palate is pretty bad -- the fruit is kind of decayed and gross; tons of bruised cherry and other sickly flavours. Lots of tannin to boot. Not much pleasant about this one. My 10th, group's 10th.
