Tasted blind, this wine had a light red center with tan/yellow rims. I was told that the bottle has a 5 cm fill and may have been subjected to varying temperatures. The medium intensity nose showed roses, tan spices, soil, and plums.
In the mouth, this wine was medium bodied with brisk acidity, light tannin, and excellent length. This was a subtle wine that required a lot of attention in order to appreciate its nuances. It also had the slightly over-ripe/burnt element that detracted from the beauty of the other elements. Was this due to the hang time of the grapes or some heat damage?
This fine-grained, subtle wine was excellent. However, it appears to be fading fast.

Tasted blind, I was told this wine had a 5 cm fill. It had a tawny center, yellow/clear rims, and was clearly looking old! The medium+ intensity nose put forth roses, prunes, rhubarb, lavender, and some soil.
This wine was rather bland for many hours and was somewhat of a disapointment. It came off as a super old Italian wine with its funky qualities. Finally, after 7 hours of air it suddenly came to life! It showed a very light body, firm acidity, and lovely Burg flavors.
Given how wildly expensive this bottle had to have been, it was a bit of a disapointment. This is how it goes with old wines! Drink now.

Svelte but deep nose with fruit, soil and spice. Well structured and full, with the only complaint being that the finish thinned noticeably after one hour. 97-

Coche-Dury Lunch with a La Tâche Kicker, Then More Après Lunch Wines (Elements Restaurant at the Sanctuary - Paradise Valley, AZ): Almost everybody expected this was fake, given the number of questionable elements with the label, bottle and their respective conditions. Those expectations were correct. And the wine, while most likely from Vosne in a lesser vintage, was not particularly enjoyable. I would want to upload a photo of the label, but there is no way to indicate it as fake.
