  Now showing some garnet at the rim. Nose of delicate black berry, hints of rosewater and sandalwood.
  Firmly structured across the palate, dark berry flavours tinged with rosewater, sandalwood and oldish leather. Tannins gather on the finish, the whole package held together with a beam of acidity. Perfect with leg of lamb seared over wood coals and a lemon/rosemary/garlic risotto.

  Pleasurable GMS blend. Definitely masculine and still tannic, but then 2005 did this to all euro wines. Black tea, blackberry, black asphalt, just hella black I guess. I know global warming is killing these wines but this one squeeked out before I think. Good wine and great for 25 bucks.

  Camphor and lemon citrus on the nose; on the palate, dark fruit, iodine, leather, and touches of anise and black pepper. The mouthfeel is almost oily, and the wine is nicely balanced, although I prefer slightly more acidity. This is open for business, but it can certainly go for several years more. At $22, this was a real bargain. I may look into picking up some of the 2010. Edit: This was equally good on the second day. I believe this has just entered its peak and will hold on for quite a while.
