Initially very thin, acidic, some oxidation and other funk. Most of the odd stuff eventually blew off (decanted from a split) but took several hours. Actually better than the 66 and the 80 that we opened side by side (those in full size 750ml bottles). Light body, red fruit after it opened. Seems well past its prime.

WineBerserkers dinner (Chicago, IL): Ex-cellar Joseph Phelps. An incredibly beautiful showing. A classic old school lead pencil nose, with a perfumed lightness that is typical for PLL. On the palate, this is very light, with some tart, dried red fruits and a note that reminds me a bit of barberry. Fully resolved -- this is one to enjoy now.

Not expecting a lot, expectations totally exceeded. A bit light and I thought faded at first, but the fruit seems to build and beguile with air. Best at 3-4 hour mark. Black cherry, soil, with lots of tobacco and cigarbox. Elegant and long. A-

Into the neck with cork in good condition. Opened 15 mins and consumed in 30 mins. Camphor and mint turning into cigar and smoke. Amazed wine still hanging well.

otroligt kul att få dricka Bordeuax med denna ålder. Har nog passerat sin peak men fortfarande gott.
