I gave this time and perhaps too much. It was stood up for 3 days and then uncorked without decant. It was at best uncorked for 8 hours without decant but alas I did decant and some of the joy of the fruit was gone by the time we sat down 4 hours later. Still very good burgundy without being special

darker than expected with clear rim and heavy earth notes and animally smell more like a Pommard than a Gevery to me. The palate was a bit hollow at first but after decanting the palate filled out in a broad way and the wine became massive and delicious. I would llike to wait another 5 years before revisitiing

(Potel Nicolas Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze) A very fine and sweet nose with well delineated fruits - very impressive. Wow - almost everything is available here; concentration, never-ending complexity and dimension. Marvellous, multidimensional stuff. This wine almost left me out of breath!

Needed time to open up. More bright and new world. Tannins were a bit too strong and not certain if they will resolve over time. Solid but not sublime
