I suppose it is accurate that this is not jammy, but I still find it totally over the top. To say that these lack nuance is putting it lightly. Brave new world, you're not for me.

Nose showing slight oxidation and dark rose. Flavors are splendid with a barolo like black tea like flavor, berries, with out the sugar, violets and more dark flowers. Nice long finish. fading on second and third days opened.

P & P'ed. Pretty darn nice wine. Not jammy at all like so many California Zins can be. Has an old world feel to it with a hint of the Cali sun. Blackberries, fresh cut celery, underbrush on nose. Velvety smooth on palate with a little bit of a bitter finish which is nice with this wine. Has evolved quite a bit from last bottle tried 2 years ago. Paired well with spicy Boudin and grilled onions. One of the better zins I have consumed.
