After the wine opened for 24 hours it was very nice. Big and bold. Still very young and was very sharp in the beginning. The drinking window for this wine is still 2 - 3 years away.

($30) Blind Spanish Wines at De Tapas: Blind Red 5 - First observation is the heavy bottle. Deeply color and a "big" wine all around given the density in the glass and my initial reaction to the nose. Slightly high-toned smelling with some stonefruit and red berries. Rich, sweet, and well structured/balanced on the palate. Does have some unresolved acid or tannin in the finish. Strangely, I don’t perceive oak on the nose, but there is definitely a toasty oak profile on the palate. Pepper as an afterthought. Grenache? This is really nice.
