  • Terrific Cornas. Decanted an hour prior to dinner and needed it. Glossy bright red color with no sign of age. This loved a dry aged steak as the tannins were still apparent although not disturbing the enjoyment. With time a deep blackberry was evident. This sung of violets! What amazing aromas. I could just smell this for an hour. Good acidity. Earth, iron, light menthol , herbs. This is still a firm wine with lots of time ahead but still very enjoyable now. Love it.

  • Expressive nose with very good typicity of dark fruit, black pepper, bacon forest floor. The palate has pronounced acidity and lots of tannins still. It lacks fruit, dries out at the end. All a bit charmless. If own this, make sure to bring a juicy ribeye to the party. Nose 93, Palate 86

  • N Rhone Feast (Noizé): Compared to the Allemand it sat alongside - so much better behaved, with a kind of gentle fruit character in the middle. Refusing to be damned by faint praise, with some time and focus it became more together, more attractive somehow - not glossy by any means, but a nicely put together wine.

  • Vinøs hyttetur 2023: Grafitt, blå frukt - mest mot blåbær, litt granbar og einebær, kompleks, en strålende vin.

  • Good, fairly youthful color, medium full body, just short of opaque, on the nose I get some light savory/smoky notes, creosote, hint of smoked meat, really classic Rhone syrah; on the palate there is beautiful darker fruit, medium depth, some nice smoky/savory character, plenty of acidity, and medium fine, slightly chalky/grippy tannins. Been a number of years since I had an 06, and it seems to have shed some of its more lush, ripe character, and turned a bit more taut and sinewy. This is great Cornas.
