Medium dark red. Gone is the sweat so dominating on release. Now it's been replaced by charcoal smoke, potatoes, and minerals. Surprising sweetness really shows the year, although I would have preferred more brightness as well (perhaps this has faded with time). Still some furriness to the tannin, though, on the finish.

(MINCHIN LE CLOS DELORME) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-not appealing to many; stuck in Lincoln Tunnel behind a bus shooting exhaust fumes at you; w/ a pickle; TASTE-Mr.. Strawberry meets Ms. Sour Kraut; so obvious; would not recommend to most, but an intriguing winner for those the daring; awkward, but interesting; WS-89; GV-89

Bottle was obviously corked and undrinkable. Had to return it to WineLibrary.
