(GALARDI Terra di Lavoro) Galardi Dear Friends, This stash of large format Galardi Terra di Lavoro is set to arrive in a week or two and they are directly from the winery cellar with perfect provenance. All were hand bottled and should make for a very attractive centerpiece in your cellar - the wine is fairly decent as well...expect grandiose praise when the reviews hit. Better than the top 2005 Bordeaux? ONE SHIPMENT ONLY at this price 2005 Galardi Terra di Lavoro 1.5 lt 2005 Galardi Terra di Lavoro 3.0 lt Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Italy5930 Italy5940

(Galardi Terra di Lavoro) Galardi Dear Friends, Nowhere is the disparity between pre-Dollar decline and post-Dollar decline greater than with the 2005 Galardi Terra di Lavoro. There is a huge spread at the wholesale level alone thanks to the decline of the greenback and an Italian market that has realized they don’t need the US as much as in the past to sell wine (this is an occurrence that I’ve run into more than I would like to see - all over Europe, emerging markets such as Russia and China are glad to pay any price for wine that American importers are balking at - wineries have little incentive to make concessions and loyalty only goes so far). With that in mind, I’ve tried to bridge the gap with a price somewhere between the two polar opposites. I’m only able to do this because I committed to this wine almost a year and a half ago after tasting it in barrel and I reserved the price at that time (sometimes, that can come back to bite me - not in this case). The 2005 Galardi reminds me of a combination between 1996 Lafite and 1982 Sammarco dosed with a percentage of old-vine Taurasi the likes of which 1968 Mastroberardino was crafted from (one of the 5-6 greatest wines ever produced in Italy) - it should age for decades. The 2005 Galardi is an astute and brooding classic waiting to unfold - it is a wine that took this year’s Vin Italy by storm and left almost every other wine in the dust (I tasted it with a group of Italian journalists and all of them thought it was better than the 99pt 2001 and 97pt 2004). You can check all the past Parker verbiage on his wine and current auction/secondary prices if you need to but this wine remains one of the highest scoring bottles year in and year out from critics around the world (it may be the highest overall rated dry red wine in the world over the last decade by certain US and European critics and deservingly so). This parcel is directly from the winery cellar with perfect provenance ONE SHIPMENT ONLY at this price. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for first growth quality at a price that wouldn’t even buy Forts de Latour anymore... 2005 Galardi Terra di Lavoro Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Italy9865
