Unico tasting (27 different vintages) at the Rheingau Gourmet Festival 2017: not a healthy appearance - milky, cloudy brown-red colour; malty and soy sauce nose; a bitter taste reminded me of rat poison (that's a guess, thankfully never tasted it).
This bottle was flawed from the start and many stayed away. However, I took several sips since it still gave me some tasting experience. After a while it tasted slighty better (or I got used to it) and finally I began to think if I would have had 4-5 hours more time to wait some more improvement would have been imminent.
Maybe you think now: so much talk about a flawed wine. You're probably right, but hey, it's a Unico.

Last bottle of a long night. Decent, but not great, a bit over the hill. Would not have pegged as Unico.

Tasting Group Dinner - '75, '83 and '85 Bordeaux (Brad's House, Minneapolis): Completely maderized. Bizarre, off-putting flavors of cheese and paint thinner. Undrinkable.
