  • Pairing Italian Wine (Restaurant La Piperna - Madrid): Very austere and restricted on the nose at the beginning.
    With a long time and a gentle decanting showed aromas of violets, green carob and wet leather. What never disappears is that musty smell.
    On the palate it is ... young! With a sharp acidity and some tannins that aren't tamed. At the same time leaves a very drying sensation and is a little astringent.

    Muy austero y restringido en nariz al principio.
    Con mucho tiempo y un amable decantado apatecieron aromas a violetas, algarrobas verdes y cuero mojado. Lo que nunca desaparece es ese olor a humedad.
    En boca es... ¡joven! Con una afilada acidez y unos taninos quecestan por domar. A la vez deja una sensación muy secante y es un un pelín astringente.

  • Purple at the edges with a nose of sweet cassis, and great legs. Sweet fruit on palate and mellow in the mouth despite significant tannin. Lots of flavour concentration at the end. Interesting and meritorious wine. Quite delicious. Was really surpised to learn that this grape typically does duty as fermented alcohol vs. table wine.

  • Dark coloured with a complex nose of black fruit, earthy nuances, leather and mineral. Palate is full, has chewy ripe tannins, lots of fruit and good acidity. Finish is long and satisfying.

  • Big black fruit, but smooth and balanced. It should age very well and needs decanting at this point.
