At the beginning a lot of olive in the nose. Later some Marmelade and heat but in a good way A lot of kirsch and herbs on the palate. Very dense. Perfect window.

La Tablee: Grenache Seminar (Al Coro): Even this was not totally the style I remembered of Janasse and yet this would be a vintage I would have likely tried. Totally de-stemmed. Some heat at the end, but the beginning is all darker fruits, blackberry and hints of spice. Comes together a bit with some time in the glass.

Sunday lunch with the Wine-Ark boys (Porcine, Oxford Street): Initially savoury, gamey, meaty, sweet spice, plums, red berry in support. Soft, fruity, easy with plums and berries, grainy textured tannins persist long, handles it's alcohol well. Yum.

Last of these and still seemed very youthful and powerful. The 2016s are likely to need at least 15 years possibly more!
