All below have perfect provenance and are at the lowest prices I can muster - some of the prices are pretty eye-popping. Have a good weekend everyone! - Jon Rimmerman ************************ Friday Focus Wine: 2005 Can Blau "Mas de Can Blau" (Spain) STRICT LIMIT 6/person Last year's 2004 Mas de Can Blau was a major hit (with Josh Raynolds as well) and the 2005 is even better. This is an extracted, large-scaled wine that is actually good. While I don't typically support wine like this, I think many of you will really enjoy it: ************************** 2006 Domaine de Chenevieres Chablis "Les Grandes Vignes" (Vielles Vignes) EXTREMELY LIMITED 2005 La Chablisienne Chablis "Le Preuses" (BH93) STRICT LIMIT 2/person This is in bottles - please be patient here. 1999 Friggiali Brunello Riserva 3.0lt (GR3) 350.00/1 (very rare bottle of hand-bottled Riserva from the best lot they had in the vintage) 2000 Fontodi Syrah Case Via 1.5lt STRICT LIMIT 2/person 2005 Ramey Cabernet Sauvignon "Pedregal Vineyard" 1.5lt (these are in perfect condition and have never sat on a store shelf - ever) 2006 Pierre Usseglio CdP "Deux Freres" Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Spain6320 Burg8860 Burg8870 Italy6831 Italy6832 CA8380 Rhone7410

First, that BOTTLE - may be the heaviest bottle (750ml) I have ever encountered! When this is the case you assume the winery is very proud of this wine. And it does not disappoint. What a beautiful, rustic, earthy delight. At 15 years old, still lots to say, and eloquently at that. This is fruity, spicey, earthy and exotic. Find some, serve it with something equally exotic. Paella perhaps? Just a whole plate of charcuterie...go for it!

Loved it. Drunk at a friend's house so no detailed notes. Well aged, well priced, good secondary fruit and resolved tannins. Yum!
