  Decanted 30 minutes. Ripe strawberries, cherries and deep secondary aromas of truffles, farmyard and ripe leather. Very appealing. Palate is ripe and rich with excellent red fruits, medium acidity and light fine tannins. Very good with super balance with savoury meaty flavours. This is drinking perfectly now - spot on. Excellent. Drink now to 2021.

  Opened 45 mins but not decanted. Lightening in colour with clear fading on rim. Medium+ intense nose with ripe cherries, light rose essence and truffles. Palate is medium intense with medium acid, medium very fine tennins, ripe cherry & slight gameyness. Wine feels quite mature and ready for drinking in the near term. Now-2020.

  Decanted for 45 mins. Showing age on rim with some light browning. Medium intense nose showing really deep secondary Burgundy notes of game, truffles and forest floor. The palate is light but balanced, taking on more depth during the evening. Showing light tannins and red cherry fruits with good acid, as befits the year. The wine is lighter in style but has excellent balance now and is drinking ideally now for 2/3 years.

  Decanted 1hr. Colour showing some maturity with some orange on rim. Nose has really opened up with excellent dark red fruits and wonderful secondary farmyard, truffle nose. Palate has fine tannins, medium acid and good balance. Really quite impressive for 2004. Drinking early for a grand Cru but very enjoyable and well balanced. Drink now-2024.
