Mushroom and peach fruit, water weight to the palate. In a very delightful spot. A touch of petrol, a touch of marmalade. I enjoyed this much more than the last couple of TNs suggest. Quite evolved color. Thanks to Jim and Jim for including me at Everest, Chicago.

Random Notes from Travels in France; 4/6/2012-4/14/2012 (Paris, Loire, Alsace): Full yellow, a touch of brown. Low pitched peach and nuts. Then it became fully maderized and dull. Some botrytis deep in the background. Full bodied, some residual sugar. Just when we thought it was completely dead, it perked up in a remarkale way to show more lively stone fruit. Ah, the mysteries of older wines. Not one to hold or bet on at this point.

I think this wine (or bottle) may have passed it's prime a bit, but it was still very nice. Golden, floral aromas and fruit, wonderful petrol on the nose and a citrus-tart complex palate with a finish that lasts at least 30 seconds. At first, our bottle was chilled too much then it opened up when not quite so chilled.

6/13/2018 - Neecies Does not like this wine:
Very rich upfront, loses grip toward the finish. Overall impression is heavy, cloying.

While still alive it is frightfully boring. Some peach skin aromas/flavors, and some minerality, but that's it.
