Deep, golden-orange exhibiting fragrant aromas of acacia, honey, light butterscotch, and vanilla. Palate of honey and candied white peach is unfortunately marred by upfront bitterness. With time, the bitterness regressed but not sufficiently.

Color is deep golden. On the nose: Butterscotch, honey, wax, orange zest, apricot and pineapple. On the palate: Pineapple, orange, tea, beeswax and apricot. Clearly an aged white but it’s doing well. It’s quite elegant and subtle. Very good length and nice mouthfeel. Old Rhone Whites are really worth seeking out.

The last of three and a real joy. Deep golden color. The nose is distinct: Russian tea, dried orange, corn milk. Fullish. Powerful palate with a lovely mineral finish. Not for the faint of heart. (94)

Ah….so much better than the last bottle which was oxidized. This is mature, orange/gold and so full of life. The nose is a kaleidoscope of orange peel, black tea, honey, cream corn and nectarine. The palate is rich and energetic. Veering on sous voile but not. The finish is long and this is just sublime. A rare treat. (94)
