Hard to pick a winner between this and. Potel Pruliers 2005 tasted alongside. ‘05 Potel just edged it for persistence of finish , but the Cathiard from 06 was itself beautifully fully balanced and long with smooth tannin and wonderfully aromas of damson and leather. Not quite a peak, so no rush

Just lovely. Classy and light. Floral, Cedar wood, fresh dry plums and wild nutmeg when open. Leave it for 45 mins and the aroma floats above the glass. Layers and more layers to peel with slight mineral long finish. What a wine. Wish I had more.

Pnp. Surprisingly accessible for a cathiard. This is his first vintage of thorey. Nose displayed herbs, prunes, cherry and minerals. Very expressive on the palate with tea, sweet black and blue fruit. Showing a rustic edge of the nsg terroir. Very nice tonight. Drinking very well.

really nice spot now, good depth of fruit with still some tannins but well integrated. no tertiary flavors yet but pureness of fruit is excellent. really nice balance and flavor.

(Sylvain Cathiard Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Aux Thorey) Dark cranberry red color; lovely tart cherry, sour cream, vanilla, roses nose; tasty, ripe raspberry, sous bois, mineral, ripe strawberry palate; medium-plus finish

Light, fragrant, red berries and soft spice. Drinking beautifully. Not a blockbuster but pretty and delicate.
