Thought I'd try one to see how they're coming along. Nicely balanced, red fruit, tannins present but not out of place, good length. Drinking nicely but probably more to give. Will try another one next year.

(Potel Nicolas Nuits St.Georges) Nicely focused red and black fruit with a hint of coffee. Vibrant, with a good depth of flavour. The tannin is just a little finer than the Pommard and there’s a decent length too.

Drinking really well now. Dark and red fruit, sous-bois, good structure.

Rich expressive, coming around and still in primary fruit. Shows off the hard tannins I expect from Nicholas Potel.

High acidity, fairly full-bodied with red and dark fruits and a bit of vanilla. Good but will leave a while before opening another
