Wet rocks with a dribble of lemon oil. Restrained, complex with a cut of minerality that is balanced off perfectly against the fruit which is neither too sweet or too dry. Persistent, brilliant.

From magnum. Pale yellow. Medium-light body. Very floral and herbal, somewhat resinous and leesy, with fine acid skeleton for a '99. The particular northward exposure of the site seems to have helped. Still on the way up, at least in this format.

Nice evolved and pretty. Light kiss of nut oil with cream, mineral and lime zest being dominant. Nice acids and, with a litte air, both well-rounded and taut. Excellent with cheese.

Delicious and incredibly complex. Nose of smoke, toast and jasmine. Upfront vanilla and gunsmoke (very light) which quickly passed into rich fruit with good acidic body. Smooth finish with some butter and lemon zest. Excellent wine overall. A little more time to round it off. Absolutely perfect pairing.
Paired: Salmon poached sous vide w/ fiddlehead ferns and sorrel sauce

David/TY Dinner with Hans, Julian, Bun, Walter and wives (AMC Library): from magnum. fresh and zesty. beautiful on the nose, but quite straightforward and lacking the usual Roulot complexity.
