Poured into a decanter and started drinking. Still a dark garnet upto a thin transparent rim. Pretty nose with wood spices and dark fruit. The palate cannot measure up though. Revealing the difficult vintage this is smooth but somewhat non committed without much depth or aromatic complexity. Tannins fully integrated with a short, leathery finish. Elegant 2007 but would like to see a bit more from a 3rd Growth even in this light vintage.

Another excellent wine from the less-than-compelling 2007 Bordeaux vintage. Lovely bouquet of cassis, Jolly Rancher hard candy, leather, tobacco, licorice, and pencil shavings. Medium bodied, perfectly integrated, with black raspberry flavors balanced by classic Saint-Estephe richness, structure, and elegance. Closes with a kiss of cinnamon and purity of fruit on the long finish. Drinking beautifully now but can also wait.

20th Nov 2020: Minima decant, certainly past it peak drinking window...I would say it is balanced but so balanced that it became devoid of any character and personality, no finish...it’s like someone you know you have met but left no impression whatsoever....last bottle...

Austere, rustic and lean, the medium-bodied wine is on the bright red, cranberry side of the style range with strong green accents. I suppose lovers of old-school classics will like this more than I did.
