This is a beautifully balanced wine with lovely flavors of black plums, truffles and hints of violets. Soft and easy-going but still full in the mouth. Classic, refined Pomerol for drinking now.

This is a lovely, silky-textured wine that drinks well now with flavors of black plums, sweet earth and truffles. I will watch this vineyard in the future with its excellent location near Petrus/Trotanoy/Lafleur and non-interventionist wine-making. Aline and Paul Goldschmidt took over this terroir in 2006 which had been in Aline's family since the 1800's and they seem very committed to taking this wine and their other 2 properties to the highest possible level.

Bec had at GR RHR to go with the lamb. She wasn't keen. It's a soft plummy truffly wine and she'd have preferred something with more primary fruit.
