Well, I've had a few bottles of this now, but not for a year, and it has put on some substantial weight and complexity in that time. This really is a beautiful wine and I can finally see why this is regarded in the upper echolons of Australian wine.
Beautiful aromatics - blackberry, red fruits, cherries, spice and twigs.
Medium to full bodied flavours of blackberry, red fruits, chocolate, some meats, cedar, and a hint of vanilla. It still has some assertive tannin, which is a good thing, I think. Substantial. Balance and length.
Probably not yet at its peak and I won't be drinking any for another two years, where I think it will be better again.
