  Was expecting a little bit more on this one based on reviews and price. Had a nice balance, not over to the top citrus, acid. Not as much fruit as I like. Went better with cheese and crackers than by itself. It didn't force me to drink another glass, but I did anyway. Ok for a nice spring day on the patio, but not something I'll remember the next time I'm looking for an easy drinking warm day wine.
  
  Actually opened up a bit after an hour or so, a little bit more complex with more lemon, citrus and some spice after it was in the glass for awhile.

  Very nice domestic example of Pinot Grigio. Bitter lemon aromas, accented by a bit of blood orange. Flavors are like lemon curd, a bit more creamy than the aromas would suggest. Nicely balanced between fruit, acidity, lushness, and bitterneess.

  Pinot Grigio grown in the heart of Oakville, Napa Valley, within sight of Opus One and Silver Oak, quite a pedigree. I think this wine lives up to it. Stainless steel fermentation. No maolactic. No oak. Just the pure expression of the fruit. Lots of grapefruit and lemon, with a touch of pineapple. This is not your Italian Pinot Grigio. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol, which means the grapes were pretty ripe, resulting in a more intense, unctuous, layered complexity than with a simple Pinot Grigio. Of course, this costs a little more. Nice job with the balancing acidity. Clean refreshing finish.

  Not what I expected after hearing good things about this wine; it would be better with food. However, drinking this just to enjoy it would get on my nerves after awhile. I'm more of an Oregon Pinot Gris fan. The California Grigio (same grape, different name) is too dry and tart. I think the 2006 vintage is the bottle that I heard good things about.
