A Small Athens wine event (Spondi , Athens): Tasted blind. Was decanted and served. This felt more of a Rhone white, light oxidative, waxy, ripe citrus, than a Chardonnay . The oak was present and on the forefront but not obstructive. Class y well made wine, good weight but really would have never guessed its Chardonnay . 94
Monster Chardonnay. Will never be confused with Chablis, that's for sure. Extracted, toasty, viscous. Not usually my style of Chardonnay, but we enjoyed it regardless to celebrate the end of a week's worth of jury duty.
