tart red and black cherry aromas. Not much spice. Mostly black cherry on palate with a little black pepper. Slightly coarse tannins. Nothing exciting, but still...a surprisingly good and drinkable Pinot Noir for $7?!?

Walker Wines (Conf): Another wine from this portfolio that hasn't changed vintages since the last year I tried it. PN nose, rich, with cherries. Ok, but has that overipe/underipe thing going on, along with an unattractive vanilla thing as well.

Blind Pinots w/Dinner & Charcuterie (Wilmette, IL): Tasted single blind. Black cherry, a little vanilla, and some dark spice tones on the nose. Slightly non-descript, but there is some interest with coaxing. Tastes of bountiful dark & pure fruits and some oak tinges. Nice medium feel with good tannins & some supporting acid (good grip to this one). Mixed red berries flow in through the transition & the finish has fresh baking spices (cinnamon, brown sugar faintly) and cherries integrated with good structure.
This didn't show too great on day 2; not bad, but not as nice as on day 1 where it was pretty great. 84ish on day 2, 88 day 1. To paraphrase the local store's comment, "This is a great value at the $15 SRP, but $7 it's a stupidly good deal."

Not too complex, but nice cherry and oak. Can't complain for the price.

Blind Pinots, cheeses, and charcuterie (my place): nose: nice and riper nose of tart raspberries, red fruits, and various spice tones. Very good tones that balance well together
taste: a bit thin on the palate with good tones of raspberries, red fruits and some bits of cherries. The finish is a bit clipped as well
overall: This is very good for the price. A nice quaffing pinot with a good nose, but there isn't as much on the palate
