  • Almost perfect wine! Lovely dried fruits, leather, ham. Completely integrated and complex, long and very rewarding.

  • Tiny taster oh my heavens! Same vein as 68, more mellow, but same style. Deep vanilla. Yes you can totally fall in love with this but possibly a one glass affair due to the penetrating American oak which won’t quit with age. It’s a stylistic thing with Unico. I like it. But couldn’t drink a gallon to be frank.

  • This is hands down the best Unico I've ever had. It's one of the best wines that I've ever had. Hard to express exactly how special this was. bottle was in excellent shape. Prob mid-shoulder level. We opened and decanted for sediment and then rebottled before bringing to the restaurant (which was a good call - there was a lot of sediment in there). It took some time to open up and continued to open in the glass. I'd hazard the last sip was actually the best. Really special wine and makes me believe in these and their longevity when stored right and looked after. Contender for WOTY (of the year).

  • Amazing wine. Surprised at the full body. Leather, vanilla, caramel and orange, with a wonderful nose of old leather, earth and a little lavender. Bottle in immaculate condition obtained from a private collection. Almost no sediment and low neck fill. One of the best old wines I’ve had.

  • Very good level, above shoulder. Cork completely soaked but removed in one piece.
Brief note from memory. This one was popped and poured. Great color, wouldn't denote its age as still has dark tones actually. You still can feel the cabernet sauvignon on nose, no coffee/metallic/port notes. Palate it's plain wonderful, silky and seamless. An incredible bottle.
