Wow, very nice aged Bordeaux. Years ago, bought a case of the ‘87, as it was affordable, I think ‘87 was a ‘lesser’ vintage. Cork broke, opened the wine an hour before dinner. So this is what made Cabernet Sauvignon Bordeaux world famous. Too bad I couldn’t afford cases every year since! Absolutely lovely wine, Yum! And only 12% VOL.

Eupsychian Atariaxia. Which basically means calming yourself towards a higher mind. Aged Boysenberry,, concorde, barnyard. Started out funky. 2 hours in the decanted fixed that. Overall we loved it. It was a magnum and we had a great steak dinner with it!

Fully mature. Was not expecting much but I did thoroughly enjoy this with a selection of roasts - duck, chicken, lamb. Was completely resolved and was singing all tertiary characteristics. Black fruit, tobacco, sous bois.

Still in great shape and perfectly drinkable. Cabernet and pencil lead are forefront. Nice balance with more finesse than strength.
