Pear, mild apple, peach, mandarine, lychee, light oak, brioche and honey. Good complexity. Mild acidity plus sweetness, both well balanced. Some silky minerality. Great wine even though I expected a bit more.
- Yellow gold color with fast forming legs and aromas of apricot and peach. It's in total harmony and has flavours of peach, apricot and oak with a medium/full body. Juicy texture with a long finish - @ Mr Chow's w Geri and Roy Liemer. Perfect w spicy Asian Cuisine and as suggested perfect w the Lobster. Sufficient acidity to moderate the sugar.
Not much to add to my previous notes, if anything sweeter than I remembered from before. Nice pale gold with nice legs. Quite sweet but with a nice core acidity. Flavors of apricots, golden delicious apples, and lychee. Nice finish. I think I will keep the final two in the back of the cellar and see what they are like in 10 years.
Consumed with friends at Mark's Duck House in Falls Church VA. The only white in the lineup, and the first wine opened
Nice pale gold color, nice legs. Sweet but with a core of acidity and minerality that bodes well for aging (as if I'm going to be able to keep my hands off it for 10 years) Flavors of apricots, golden delicious apples, and lychee. With 8 of us partaking, needless to say it did not last long. I hope I can keep at least one in the cellar for 10 more years to see how it ages.
