  Best of Austria and some other supplements (@home): Glas: Zalto Universal
  Bottle opened about 2h before. Not Decanted. I could almost copy my notes from the 2004 vintage here. Clear, deep ruby color. Clean, medium intense, developing nose with lots of earthy tones, some animal tones, black berries. Deep and complex.
  Bone dry, medium+, well-integrated acidity. High alcohol (14,5%) perfectly integrated. Not hot, but it gives the wine a certain sweetness. High, silky and fine tannin. On the palate ripe red fruit, licorice, some Amarena cherry, earthy tones and herbs. Lots of extract. Great texture, depth and length. Almost too young. Potential for at least another decade! 93-94+

  certainly a good wine but I had already better Mariental
  although 13 years old - no signs of too old

  Champions League eines Blaufränkischen. Erdig, rauchig, Leder, Zedernholz, langer Abgang (>45 Sekunden), robuster, voller Körper, ölige Textur, getönte Kirchenfenster, samtigweiche Tannine. Ein fantastischer ET. Dazu Entenbrust, Kartoffelknödel und Rosenkohl am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag mit meinen Liebsten.
  
  The wine looks Crimson colored.
  The legs are Slow.
  It smells like Black currant (cassis), Cranberry, Blueberry, and Blackberry.
  It tastes like Medium Toast, Espresso, Coffee, and Cedar.
  The body is Full.
  The wine is textured Leathery.
  The wine finishes Long.
