  Tasted blind. Quite pretty nose of cherries, tobacco, thyme, and some red fruit. Nice acidity and overall well balanced with more red fruit and a hint of leather notes on the palate. Long finish. Surprised at the age, this tasted quite a bit younger than 41 years. However, the first sip was the best and the wine degraded a bit with air, suggesting that it probably won't live on for much longer. My WOTN.

  ORANGE ON THE RIM. RASPBERRY, BLACK CHERRY, COFFEE, TOBACCO, AND A TOUCH OF SPICE IN THE NOSE. RICH FRUITY FLAVORS. STILL GOING STRONG THOUGH PROBABLY AT PEAK. MEDIUM LENGTH FINISH.
