Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Bronze to gold with watery rim.
The nose stars out rather sherry-like with aromas of flor. This turns to more chemical aromas, but within a few hours cleaner fruit starts to reveal. Apricots, apple and orange peel. Slight touch of cola.
Dry and lively palate despite the seemingly low acidity. Oxidated fruit character, herbs, peashoots and finally the signature slatey mineral impression in the long aftertaste.
This wine sure kept living for hours after being opened and would no doubt have continued to do so. But we finished the bottle. Really a nice wine and one I'd happily pay 45€ again.
