Somewhat closed down, and not overly expressive in its current state, this wine clearly has good potential. Dry soil and subdued dried red cherry on the nose. Tart and still with noticeable tannins on the palate, I'd give this at least a few more years. The wine does soften significantly after one hour in the glass. 91+

Role Reversal Lunch at La Paulée-Dujac Whites (Monts-Luisants) and Lafon Reds (Quince, San Francisco): Light clear ruby. Soil and stemminess, rose petals, and rising bright cherry and raspberry fruit which carries through to the palate. Elegant mixture of that fruit, a bit of gaminess, wood, and slight funk with great acidity but low tannins. Could benefit from a few years, but delightful now because of its clarity of fruit.

Magnum light crimson with gooseberry cherry nose mixed with crushed limestone. Intense red fruit on palate with an austere finish, and yet so light and so long. This youngster needs a lot of cellar time to civilize but all the buttons are in the right place.

Coravin first glass. Again a nice and mature glass. Good without being exceptional. No need to store further.
