  I noticed from the mailer from when I bought this wine that this is Christensen fruit. Interesting….is this vineyard maturing because I didn’t care a lot for this 01, whereas I do think the 03 version of this wine is stunning. Adam, was the 01 from fairly new vines? To the 01…….reddish purple with some noticeable sediment. Big front palate of boysenberry fruit with some zippy plum and espresso. Finishes with a mulchy, crushed berry feel and some minerality. Lacks the finish and weight I usually like. (15.1%). Have one 01 left—not sure if it gets better.
