Amazing. Gracefully developed. Full in tertiary mode but still with a deep fruit core. You know it’s Cabernet Sauvignon but you also know it’s Napa. The depth, the warmth, it’s just there. If you get your hands on a well stored bottle, do not hesitate!

2015 Aspen Food & Wine Classic Trip; 6/17/2015-6/22/2015 (Aspen, Colorado): From a pristinely cellared bottle, this 25-year-old wine proved to be something very special. Deep red/garnet in color, it offers a bouquet of plum, leather, pipe tobacco, mocha and cardamom. Medium-bodied and with medium acidity, it delivers similar flavors on the palate. The tannins have fully resolved and the alcohol is well-integrated. Layered and complex in the middle, it closes with impressive length. There are no rough edges on this hedonistic wine, which has enough fruit to carry it through the rest of this decade. Drink now-2020.

Brown Bag Tasting, the fist bottle. My guess was 1989 Cab, and sure enough, 1990 Cab, tremendous bottle! Smooth like silk, I just couldn't have enough and was asking for more. I tried to buy it but....Charlie brought the last bottle the store had :(. I'd buy ton of it if I see it.

Solid cali cab. Drinking well with present but rounded tannin (5/00). Cherry/garnet red with forward aromas of black cherry and currant. Lovely round rich fruit on the palette with structure, but no imposing tannin. 3/01
