Drank over 2 hour decant. Dark ruby in color. Fragrant nose of blackberry, plum, spice, mineral, and vanilla. Silky and opulent. Palate is currently more impressive than the nose. Somewhat tannic, nicely rounded. Medium-plus finish. This New World-style Bordeaux represents an excellent value. I expect this should improve over the next 2-3 years, though it will drink well for much longer.
Really nice depth on the nose, earth and coffee with blue fruit. You can tell that this vintage, although a little lean has some great fruit to tannin ballence that will only get better in the coming years.
A very delicious, smooth and nicely balanced wine with substance. Wonderful dark berry fruit in foreground and vanilla spice in background. Enjoyed this very much. Will buy more of this and the 2009 which is suppose to be even better.
