Smells of rich plum and subtle raisin. Velvety on the palet with more plumb, raisin and a little blackberry on the finish. Very smooth not hot. Excellent should hold for 5 or more years if stored properly.

Plums, blackberry, and raisins in its bouquet. Medium sweet warm flavor with a relatively high alcohol finish. Viscous texture and long finish. Should have been consumed several years earlier but still enjoyable. Served from half bottle.

My second time tasting this in the past few years, and as before, it's in a great place just now. Great way to end a tasting but you'll want to have a carefully chosen cheese plate available, too. Just 11,9% abv. Still quite fresh and balanced, with some years yet ahead. highly recommended

Grapey & recioto-like, smells like berry cobbler, spicy and musky, warm chocolate, roasting cacao nib, quite exotic and special. Palate has some drinking chocolate, tart blackberry, modest sweetness up front which is totally washed away by waves of acidity on the finish. Something cigar-like, but without the smoke, just that deep resiny sweet/muskiness of curing tobacco. Not really anything like a port, and could be paired with dessert but is easy to gulp down a 375 with no food at all. Wish I had another or, rather, that this was a 750ml. Ample tannin backbone and obviously plenty of acid so I suppose this could evolve for some time, though it will approach late harvest sweetness as the sugar eventually dries out.
