  • Purchased wine over 30-yrs ago after sitting next to Serge Hochar at a wine tasting in CT. Opened to celebrate 60th birthday at Lebanese restaurant. Cork completely saturated, clearly starting to go. Level at top shoulder. Wine has a deep brick color. Complex nose of earth, saddle leather & green tea with hints of sweetness. Rich, full flavored, mouth filling. Sweet, almost plummy hints at richness when produced. Drinking beautifully 60-yrs old.

  • Served double blind, I was sure this was an older Bordeaux. Tea in color, the stunning aromatics popped with smoke, tobacco, cigar box, earth, herbs, red berries and fennel. Soft, silky and amazingly fresh at more than 50 years of age. A treat and a thrill to taste.
